Term Topic-Rocks, Relics and Rumbles
In the Rocks, Relics and Rumbles project, we will learn about the different layers of the Earth, including plate tectonics and their potential effects on the Earth's surface. We will investigate different types of rock to learn about their uses and properties. We will also investigate soil and fossils, including learning about the work of Mary Anning. We will have the opportunity to use maps to learn about the lines of latitude and longitude and a compass to learn about the cardinal and intercardinal points. We will also learn about volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis and the long and short-term consequences that these can have
I If your child needs to self-isolate, individually or as a whole class, the school office will email home their home learning on a weekly basis. If you have any questions or queries, please contact the office and your class teacher will be in contact with you.
How to access Google classroom
Each child should read for 30-40 minutes a day and complete regular reading journal entries. They should complete at least one Read Theory quiz a week.
English and Maths home learning is set each week to practise skills taught in class and weekly spellings that teach spelling rules and patterns.
