Firstly, welcome to Awliscombe Primary School.
We are delighted that you have chosen to enroll your child/ren here. Curriculum map
At both Payhembury and Awliscombe Primary Schools we work closely together to offer the children the most varied and stimulating experiences to aim to always achieve the best outcomes for each individual child.
You can choose morning, afternoon or all-day preschool sessions from Monday to Friday. If your child would like to stay all day then they can either have school dinner (£2 a meal, payable via ParentPay) or you can provide a packed lunch. Free fruit and vegetables are provided at break time and you can choose to sign up to Cool Milk online
In Magic Moments and Me we will touch on themes of All about me, Seasons, Harvest, Woodland animals and Hibernation. We will use talk and vocabulary to speak about ourselves and what we like and all about our families. We will explore Autumn and the changes it brings and start to think about building cosy hibernation dens for ourselves. Throughout this term we will be developing our phonic knowledge and beginning to recognise numerals and understand the concept of the numbers 1 to 5.
Due to the pandemic and the staggered start and end times for all children, our pre-school session times are currently as follows: 9.30 - 12pm – morning session (2.5 hours)
12.30 - 3pm – afternoon session (2.5 hours)
9.10 - 3.15/30pm – all day session (5.5 hours) The morning or afternoon session charges will cost £10.50 and an all-day session will cost £23.10. This equates to £4.20 per hr.
When we are able to return to ‘normal’ hours then pre-school will adhere to the following timings: 9.00 - 12pm – morning session (3 hours) 12.30 - 3.30pm – afternoon session (3 hours) 9.00 - 3.30pm – all day session (6.5 hours)
The morning or afternoon session charges will cost £12.60 and an all-day session will cost £27.30. This equates to £4.20 per hour.
Funding for 15 or 30 hours is available the term after your child’s 3rd birthday. The 15 hours free funding will happen automatically, however, you will need to apply for the 30 hours free funding if you believe you are eligible. This needs to be done via the HMRC website and you will then need to provide us with the 30-hour code. Any non-funded hours will be invoiced to you termly by us and paid via Parent Pay.
This application pack includes all forms that will need to be submitted to the school office prior to your child/ren starting with the school.
