Awliscombe School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association ("PTFA") We have an active Parent, Teacher and Friends Association here at Awliscombe School.

We meet about once every six weeks at the Honiton Inn, Awliscombe. These are very informal meetings and we encourage all parents to attend. It is a great way of meeting other parents and truly feeling a part of the school. If you come along we promise you that you won't be asked to commit to anything, rather we hope you will enjoy yourself and feel good about getting involved in something that will directly benefit your children. We organises numerous fund raising events throughout the year and are always grateful for any help......designing flyers, providing raffle prizes, making cake, serving tea, etc.

We know everyone leads busy lives but we have found that if everyone just does the small bit that they can, it is amazing what we can achieve. The PTFA plays a crucial role in supporting the school and ensuring that our children have access to things that fall outside the school budget such as the much loved star of the week awards and school trips as well as the big ticket items such as new reading books, library shelving and staging. Once a Month we hold a Kids Café in the school hall serving tea & cake donated by parents. Our main annual fund raising events include our Spring Fair and a biannual Auction of Promises.

We provide refreshments at May Day and Sports Day and hold various socials throughout the year such as skittles nights and a family bingo night. If you would like to know more about the PTFA please contact Mrs Nic Greenland 07976 827251 or This email address is being protected from spambots. All the dates for our meetings and events are advertised in the school newsletter. Please feel free to just come along to any of our meetings as they are all open to everyone and we are always pleased to welcome new faces.
